LOTS OF POSSIBILITIES....
If you are planning to stay with us, we want help you maximise your enjoyment of being here, whether you are visiting for rest and relaxation or intend to seek out some more adventurous activities. It is your break so do what suits you best-perhaps explore the region, or take the opportunity to savour a break from modern frantic life and do as little as possible whilst sampling everything the chateau has to offer. You could amble along the pathways ; discover your own special picnic site; find a quiet spot with a good book; stroll down to and along the river bank; sip a chilled drink on the terrace in summer or a hot chocolate by a log fire in winter; revisit a favourite film or TV series from our DVD library or just snuggle up in luxurious bed linens for a duvet day.
We keep a large selection of relevant tourist information brochures for inspiration - and can maybe suggest some alternatives to try depending on your interests.
The Chateau is located close to where the borders of 3 departments meet - Maine et Loire (49), Sarthe (72) and Mayenne (53) - so three different departments and sets of resources to explore! The relevant tourist office information websites have lots of ideas and useful information , including interactive maps, to locate nearby activities or locations of interest to you:
www.paysdelaloire.co.uk - covers specific activities and attractions in the whole of the Pay de la Loire region
Relax and unwind
Wander the grounds, read a good book, watch the wildlife, keep your camera closeby , play garden games, sunbathe, catch up with a DVD box set or just enjoy the peace and tranquility.
The history, architecture, cultural activities , gastronomy , horticulture pursuits, and messing about on the river are some of the gentler attractions in the area
For those enjoying physical pursuits and adventure, some of the nearby options include hot air ballooning, treetop rope trails, myriad watersports, golf, cycling and fishing
We have a couple of town bikes and a racing bike guests are welcome to borrow , along with a book of local rides.
Many guests enjoy a stroll to and along the river - you can take a picnic , borrow a fishing rod and some camp stools if you fancy.
The not very level gravel around the chateau plus a nicely chilled drink makes for a relaxed "more luck than skill" game of boules.
