Great place for a celebration!
We've just returned from a fantastic week at Chateau de L'Oseraie where we celebrated a 60th birthday with friends - 20 of us in total. We had a super time and would highly recommend it.
The bedrooms and en suites are all individual, spacious, tastefully decorated and finished to a high standard. The terrace, with views of the river and towards the village, was a lovely location for breakfasts, lunches and pre dinner drinks.
The owners Chris and Anne were exemplary. They were always there ready to help if required, but never intrusive. They were especially helpful in organising an evening wine tasting at the Chateau, a cruise on the Sarthe as well as booking bicycles and restaurants for us. The breakfasts and dinner which they provided were top class!
We would highly recommend the Chateau, particularly for a house party and, given the opportunity, would have no hesitation in returning."

"Lovely peaceful setting. Room was superb. Anne & Chris were the perfect hosts. Totally recommend for a chilled out Chateau experience."
We have just returned from a fantastic break to the Chateau de L'Oseraie. The most beautiful B&B/self contained gites we have ever stayed in, with the most stunning views across the fields towards the river from our room. The web site description was accurate and photos really didn't do it justice!
Rooms were very clean and well restored, and decorated in keeping with this beautiful grand house, with lovely soft towels, comfortable beds and lovely hot water. The grounds are 'endless' and the weather we had made strolling in the grounds fabulous. The owners went out of their way to make our break comfortable - breakfast was varied, tea/coffee making facilities available freely, good internet access, information relating to activities/sightseeing and restaurants available.
We didn't realise how much there was to visit in the local area, and thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Angers castle, Musee Jean-Lurcat (beautiful modern tapestries) and driving around the city on the 'petit train', visiting a local medieval fayre, walking around the old village of St Dennis (10 mins drive away), and the purchasing of wine at a 'cave' in Brissac. We ate lovely meals in Tierce and Chateauneuf which were recommended by the owners. We would definitely recommend the Chateau de L'Oseraie to friends and family and look forward to visiting again."

Fantastic week, great hospitality. Cover for the Harley was great!!"
"Wonderful apartment within a chateau
We had a wonderful 3 days in the studio apartment which has very recently been designed for this purpose, situated on the top floor of a chateau which our genial hosts, Chris and Anne, who live on site, have renovated beautifully. The chateau is located on the edge of a quiet rural village on the bank of the River Sarthe which flows into the Loire. The apartment was wonderfully modern but this did not detract from the sense of being in a historical building. From the apartment, there are panoramic views to the tranquil surrounding countryside. It is a good base from which to explore the western Loire. We would gladly return for another stay and have no hesitation in recommending it."

"We really enjoyed our visit to Chateau de L’Oseraie, Chris & Anne made us feel very welcome. The chateau has been beautifully renovated and our bedroom was really comfortable and well appointed. We also enjoyed the tranquil surroundings of the chateau grounds whilst taking breakfast.
The only problem was that our visit was too short, we fully intend to visit again when next in the area. We would have no hesitation in recommending Chateau de L’Oseraie to our friends, or perhaps we might just keep it a secret."
